The European Christian Internet Conference (ECIC), established over 20 years ago, brings together a diverse array of digital professionals—from online pastors, digital strategists, and content creators, to web and social media managers and beyond. They represent a broad spectrum of churches and Christian organizations, reflecting the many expressions of Christianity across the continent.

The 2024 annual gathering of the ECIC network will be held on the premises of the WCC’s Ecumenical Institute in Bossey near Geneva. The event is expected to host communicators and media professionals from various churches and church-related organizations in Europe.

Exploring this year’s topic, “What is truth? - Ethical and practical issues in the use of AI,” participants will learn from the experience of churches in Europe, as well as from ecumenical and international organizations in Geneva.

The conference will feature several keynote speakers on the topic, as well as “Tell your story” sessions where participants of the conference share their recent work or particular projects in the field of digital communication, church, and media. One of the three conference days is being planned for exchange visits to international and ecumenical organizations in Geneva.
