August 19, 2024 Montreat Conference Center Website Montreat Community Announcements are provided by the Montreat Conference Center Office of Development. The deadline for announcement submissions is 5 pm Thursday to be eligible for inclusion in the following Monday's email. Montreat is Hiring: Are You Ready to Join the Team? The conference center is currently hiring for a Huckleberry Cafe Assistant, Assembly Inn Front Desk Associate, and Montreat Store Sales Associate. The Huckleberry Cafe Assistant position is part-time (8-12 hours/week) intended to extend beyond the summer season. Huckleberry staff perform a range of duties from making drinks, preparing food, assisting guests, and running the register. Saturday availability is required for this position. The Front Desk Associate position is part-time (20-29 hours/week) and is responsible for welcoming guests, assisting with check in and check out, answering and directing incoming calls, and working with hospitality staff to ensure clear communication of guest and staff needs. The Montreat Store Sales Associate position is part-time (15 hours/week) and will include assisting the store manager in selling store merchandise, stocking, and preparing the store for business. Last year, Jane celebrated an incredible milestone: her 40th year of dedicated service to Montreat Conference Center. During this time, she has been a steadfast presence in the Montreat Store, navigating its various iterations with grace and commitment. Now, it is time for her to celebrate another milestone -retirement. Let us celebrate her remarkable career and wish her all the best in this new chapter of her life. Jane will continue to work with us through the rest of the calendar year, officially beginning her well-deserved retirement on January 1, 2025.       Join us today for Montreat Bridge! Temporary closing of the Nancy Holland Sibley Memorial Garden Accessible pathway being installed Work on the Nancy Holland Sibley Memorial Garden is progressing, though the weather is playing a role in the increased timeline for the work. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause while our contracted crew is working to make the pathway accessible to wheeled devices.
