River Run 2024: Walk with Grassy Narrows for Mercury Justice

Grassy Narrows River Run

The United Church of Canada is proud to endorse the Grassy Narrows River Run, a grassroots movement taking place on September 18, 2024, in Toronto,ON.

The Climate Justice staff team and Indigenous Ministries and Justice are working collaboratively to support this important initiative. We invite all United Church members across Turtle Island to join with them on their journey towards a healthier future.

How can your United Church community make a difference? Amplify their social media; invite your community of faith, family, and friends to join the walk; pray; ring church bells; donate; and advocate for change.

For further details and to learn how to get involved, please read the recent River Run news post or contact justice@united-church.ca

Mission and Service Stories: Moments of Connection

Children Painting a Camp Leader at Cave Springs Camp

“I found a salamander!” someone exclaims as other campers rush over to see. At Mission and Service partner Cave Springs Camp in Beamsville, ON, children enjoy moments of connection with nature and each other. In such a peaceful setting, the beauty of nature can inspire a deep appreciation for the earth and a desire to take care of it.

Your support of Mission and Service allows children to continue connecting in nature at United Church camps.
