Today, August 26, marks the 178th anniversary of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA)—a day of celebration, reflection and renewed commitment to our shared journey.
From our humble beginnings in 1846, when 4,000 believers gathered in central London, the WEA has been a beacon of hope, uniting Evangelicals worldwide to advance the gospel and bring transformation to communities across the globe. Our mission has grown into a global movement that continues to impact millions, all driven by one central truth: unity starts with our relationship with God.
At the heart of God's design for His Church is unity—unity that reflects His own heart for His people. We are called to be in relationship with God and each other. In a world divided by conflict and strife, God calls us to be united in purpose, bound together by His love, and empowered by His Spirit. It is through the love we have for each other that all will know that he is God.
As we commemorate this milestone, we do so committed to fostering this deep relationship within the global church. The need for unity, healing, and hope in our world has never been greater. Our mission is ambitious—to ensure the fullness of life for every person, a healthy church for every people, an equipped leader for every congregation, and the peace of God for every nation.
We invite you to join us in this quest of deepening relationships. By standing together in unity, we reflect God's heart to the world and bring about the change He desires.
We also ask for you to join us in charting the future. Your partnership is crucial in helping us continue to make a meaningful impact in a world that desperately needs the hope and love of Christ.
