The gathering is expected to draw approximately 20,000 youth, young adults, and their adult leaders.

The WCC Commission of the Churches on Health and Healing has identified mental health as one of four priorities.

The workshops, which will focus on the intersections of mental health and youth in the church, will help participants understand more about mental health and wellbeing, and provide a platform for dialogue.

The workshops will include contextual Bible studies in small groups to help address mental wellbeing from a biblical perspective. The WCC team will accompany the participants in developing an action plan to strengthen self-care, community care, and congregational follow-up in the domain of mental health and wellbeing.
