There’s an app for that. Jonisha Lewinson is one of a team of young adults who helped create it. Called ar4yt (short for Anti-Racism For Youth Training), the app—supported through your Mission & Service gifts—is aimed at 12-18 years old and covers topics like the history of racism in Canada, white privilege and how to get involved in anti-racism work. DECEMBER 18 Your Generosity Supports Life-Changing Arts Program for Children [Image credit: Felix Posada, CEPALC] 84% of violent acts in Colómbia are committed against children. 2.5 million children living there work to sustain their families and many are forced into dangerous labour. For hundreds of children living in Cordoba, Colombia, arts programs supported through your Mission & Service gifts help keep them safe, teach peace-making and give them an opportunity to express themselves. DECEMBER 25 A Mission & Service Christmas Message [Credit: © Photowitch | Dreamstime] At its heart, Christmas is a celebration of new life through the birth of a child, the most vulnerable of beings. It’s ultimately a story about hope. Hope that the spirit will come to life even in the most challenging times and that something sacred will be born anew because of it. |

Gifts with Vision “Excellent alternative to traditional gift giving. The Christ in Christmas is emphasized when we think of others.” (P.M.) This year, instead of “stuff,” choose gifts that make a difference, from the comfort of home, with no packaging or wrapping needed. A Gifts with Vision gift supports the work of one or more of our Mission & Service partners—work that brings about meaningful change in Canada and across the world. |
