Renew Your Theological Imagination: Reformed Doctor of Ministry Cohort

New Reformed Focus Cohort Forming in June 2021!

The Doctor of Ministry program provides space for renewal, growth, companionship among peers, and rich dialogue with faculty. The D.Min. allows you to step out of your ministry context to sift through new information and ideas, while at the same time stepping back into your ministry context to discover how and why that learning matters.

Financial aid and scholarships are available for those who qualify.

What is the Reformed Focus like?
This Doctor of Ministry Focus explores the dynamics of ministry in the cultural contexts of Scotland and the United States and considers how Reformed Theology can be a rich resource in kindling the energy, intelligence, imagination, and love with which ministers promise to serve their people. Churches in both countries rightly raise questions about what faithful ministry looks like in a post-Christian context, how to practice hospitality in ecumenical and interfaith encounters, and what it means to serve as Christ’s witness in a volatile political climate. This focus is offered in partnership with New College, University of Edinburgh.

What sorts of topics will be discussed?
•    Reformed Theology and Worship
•    Divine and Human Agency
•    Science and Christian Faith
•    Reformed Theology and Religious Pluralism
•    Reformed Ecclesiology and Ecumenism
•    Being Church in a Volatile Political Climate
•    Being Church in a Post-Christian World
•    Local Theology

When and where do the classes meet?
D.Min. classes are held at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary campus in Pittsburgh, Pa., and New College, University of Edinburgh, during two-week blocks of time in January and June.
