LONG’S RUN TRINITY Presbyterian Church, East Liverpool, worship services are online. Coronavirus/COVID-19 Resources for Congregations and Members

VIRTUAL MEETING. In light of this pandemic, we are reassessing our ability as a Presbytery to stay connected and informed when we cannot be together in person. In lieu of the June 9^th Stated Meeting of Presbytery, we are inviting you to join in an informal gathering of our Presbytery in order to test the waters of virtual meetings on a Presbytery level. We would like to take this opportunity to catch-up, share ideas and concerns and to help us see how you are doing amidst this time of uncertainty and change. We are planning this virtual meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, from 10:00-11:00 am.  What we need from you for this to be a success:

·        If you do not have internet access you will be able to call in, but we will need contact information to send the phone numbers to you.

·        Names and email or phone information of your standing commissioners so we can send them the Zoom invitation.

How it works:

·        After receiving your information, we will set the meeting up in Zoom and send you what is called an invitation to the meeting. It will have an easy access link for you to join the meeting.

PENTECOST OFFERING. 40% is kept by congregation to be used for congregational ministries with children at risk. 60% sent to presbytery and we will forward it on to GA, Presbyterian Mission Agency. Of their portion, they use 50% for ministries with youth and young adults and 10% for child advocacy/children at risk. BEAVER CREEK CHURCH CAMP. Wait until next year! The Beaver Creek Church Camp Board voted unanimously to cancel the regular church camp schedule for 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic. All the facilities of the camp will be closed to public use until the state of Ohio relaxes its social distancing requirements.

LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 129½ Eighteenth St., Wheeling, WV, is looking for volunteers to help with our Summer Jam Program. We are in need of volunteers for various jobs. We will need volunteers to help with sanitizing tables, the bus and classrooms after each session of students’ attendance. We are looking for high school age helpers and adult helpers. At this time, we do not know the exact start date of our summer program, perhaps the week of June 15 or 22, it may possibly be an 8 week program running until the middle of August, Monday through Friday. The hours can run from 9AM until 3PM. The volunteer’s hours worked can be convenient and flexible.
