Representatives from a broad spectrum of Christian world communions gathered for four days of prayer, reflection, and discussion on shared ecumenical concerns and ongoing dialogue between churches. The meeting featured a series of plenary and executive sessions, including detailed reports from the participating communions; a session dedicated to the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification process, involving communions engaged in this landmark ecumenical agreement; and a session focused on discussions around the Feast of Creation, a celebration of the mystery of God’s creation of heaven and earth, deeply connected with the Nicene Creed. Participants also engaged in strategic reflections on future methodologies for collaboration and reaffirmed their strong commitment to continuing discussions on ecumenical bilateral dialogues. The gathering provided an important forum for mutual encouragement and discernment, as leaders shared the joys and challenges facing their global fellowships. On 8 November, the Feast of the Synaxis of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel, participants joined the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Archangels, presided over by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The liturgical celebration was a moment of deep spiritual communion, expressing the shared faith and hope that undergird the ecumenical journey. Participants were also offered an opportunity for local exposure, including a visit to the historic Hagia Sophia, reflecting on the enduring witness of the Christian tradition in the region. The annual meeting once again highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue, prayer, and partnership among the Christian world communions as they continue to seek visible unity and faithful witness in a changing world.
