Dear Friend

This time of year often invites reflection, and we’ve been thinking a lot about the community around Religion News Service. Every day, readers like you help create the space for thoughtful reporting on faith, values, and public life. We are deeply grateful for that.

In a world that often moves faster than we can take in, there is real value in slowing down long enough to understand what shapes our lives. At RNS, we try to widen the lens. We report on conflict when it matters, but we also look for the meaning beneath it — the questions people carry and the values that guide them.

Your support makes this work possible. It tells us there is an audience for reporting that treats belief with honesty, curiosity, and respect. It reminds us that people still want journalism that helps them understand one another rather than divide them.

Before the busy weeks aheadwe want to pause and simply say thank you. Thank you for reading, for listening, and for being part of a community that believes understanding is still possible.

We hope the days ahead bring rest and reflection in whatever ways are meaningful to you. And if you feel like sharing what RNS has meant to you this year, please feel free to reply to this email. We would love to hear from you!

With appreciation,

— Your friends at Religion News Service
