September in Montreat

News Corner

The grand reopening of The Huckleberry on August, 26th, 2022, was a huge success! We are so thankful for the support of the community, generous donors, and staff in making this vision a reality! The Huckleberry is open Tues.-Sat. from 8:00 am-3:00 pm.

Fall Craft Week is right around the corner! Sign up now to join this community of artists September 25-30, 2022! There is still space available in the following workshops: stained glass, woodworking, jewelry metalsmithing, basket weaving, creative writing, watercolor painting, and photography.

Engage your mind, body, and spirit toward anti-racism when you attend Fraught & Flummoxed this fall! Taking place October 10-13, 2022, participants will examine the challenges of leadership while also engaging physically in new, restorative practices. Learn more.

Are you a pastor or member of a small membership church? Then you need to attend Wee Kirk, a conference specifically created with small congregations in mind. Come find Christ-centered opportunities for inspiration, encouragement, and community that you can take back to your own congregation.

Next month we will welcome John Philip Newell to Montreat for the NC School of Earth and Soul! Reawaken your awareness of the sacred through study of Celtic wisdom. Learn more about this conference or sign up to attend our evening only event here.

During the 2022 Evangelism Conference, we will gain a fresh understanding of the meaning of evangelism - recognizing the harm we have caused in the past, and moving forward with hope. Find more information about leadership and workshop options on our website!

As you begin to make plans for the holiday season, consider spending Thanksgiving in Montreat! Special rate packages are available in Assembly Inn for the nights of November 22, 23, 24, 25, & 26, 2022. Plus, tickets can be purchased for a scrumptious buffet on Thanksgiving Day! Learn more on our website.

The Montreat Store is open Mon.-Sat. 10:00 am-5:00 pm. You can also call 828.669.5298 to place an order.

Montreat Moment

We are totally in love with the cooler feeling that is in the air! We hope you will get an opportunity to experience it for yourself this fall!

Sustain the Mission of Montreat Through Affordable, Monthly Gifts

No matter what you love about Montreat, the sound of the creek while walking Elizabeth's Path, listening to speakers who broaden your understanding of God's Word in Anderson Auditorium, the raucous joy of the Fourth of July Parade, the Montreat Fund is integral to each of those experiences.

"We give monthly because it's an easy way to incorporate something we love and believe in into our budget. Sustaining the mission and ministry of Montreat is an ongoing and lifelong privilege." - Josh and Kaye Richard, Montreat Fund Patrons

Becoming a Patron can be as affordable as $25 a month or a Young Patron at $8.33 a month if you are 35 or younger. We hope all trail stompers, conference goers, and parade enjoyers will consider becoming a Patron or Young Patron to support the Montreat experience for all.
