The executive committee reviewed assembly committees and leadership, and forwarded these appointments to the assembly. The governing body also confirmed thematic plenary moderators, as well as moderators and rapporteurs for ecumenical conversations.

The governing body also reviewed draft public issues and forwarded them to the assembly, reviewed the Assembly Code of Conduct, reviewed the COVID-19 Mitigation Plan, and discussed potentially sensitive topics and situations for the assembly.
