April in Montreat

News Corner

Earlier this week, we welcomed over 50 participants to our 2024 Discovering Renewal retreat. If you were interested in attending, but didn't get a chance to this year, never fear! Registration for 2025's retreat will open on our website tomorrow morning at 10:00 am. Learn more.

A community favorite in Montreat, the annual Kirkin' O' the Tartan service followed by lunch in Assembly Inn, will take place on May 26, 2024. We will begin accepting reservations on Friday, April 5, at 10:00 am for the Kirkin' lunch on May 26. Look for the event on our calendar beginning Friday.

We can already feel the excitement for this year's Montreat Youth Conference starting to build! If you are planning to bring a group and have not yet registered, conference rates will increase on April 15, 2024. Go ahead and sign up now to save up to $50 per person! Register online.

Last month we welcomed the the Mountain Retreat Association (d/b/a Montreat Conference Center) Board of Directors for their Spring 2024 meeting. If you are interested in learning more about their visit, a summary of the meeting is now available on our website.

Our Spring Sabbath Getaways are currently underway! If you are looking for some quiet time to simply enjoy God's beautiful creation, we can provide space for you to study, pray, or reconnect with friends. Reservations in Assembly Inn require a two-night minimum stay and can be made through April 28th. Learn more.

If you know someone looking for seasonal or year-round employment with the conference center, we have a number of open positions available! Visit our website to read job descriptions or apply for one of the following: part-time Huckleberry café assistant, part-time dining room attendant, and part-time hotel arrangements. Submit an application.

There are just a few weeks left for you to sign up for the Arts, Recreation, and Worship Conference. Hosted in partnership with Re:Create, this conference invites participants to sing, play, create, and dance as they learn to implement elements of creative worship in their own congregations. Find out more on Re:Create's website!

Make a visit to Moore Center! The Huckleberry is open Tues.-Thur. 8:00 am-3:00 pm, Fri.-Sat. 8:00 am-6:00 pm, and is closed Sun.-Mon. View the menu here. Meanwhile, The Montreat Store is open Mon.-Sat. 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Have a question about purchasing an item? Call the store at 828.669.5298.
