April in Montreat

News Corner

Discovering Renewal is right around the corner! During this retreat, we will learn to focus on ways that we can experience rest and spiritual renewal through simple moments in our everyday lives. And with it being scheduled right after Easter, there is no better time to experience spring in the mountains! Register today!

Registration for our 2023 Wee Kirk conference opened last week! If you are a pastor or member of a small membership church, then this is the conference for you! Find out more about various track options and leadership on our website.

A family favorite in Montreat, the Annual Kirkin' o' the Tartans service will take place on Sunday, May 28, in Anderson Auditorium. Following the service, you are invited to join us for lunch in The Galax Dining Room of Assembly Inn. Reserve your lunch tickets today!

We still have a few opportunities this month for you to enjoy Montreat sans schedule. Spring Sabbath rates in Assembly Inn will continue to be available through April 30. Additionally, we are now accepting campground reservations for our 2023 season! Come experience this special time of prayer and contemplation for yourself. Learn more.

The April 1st deadline for Montreat Youth Conference and Middle School Conference may have passed, but there is still time to register a group or add more people to your existing registration! View current rates, explore leadership for each conference, or learn about this year's themes on our website.

Save the date! The Sally Jones Pottery and Wilbur Hoke Currie Craft Center will reopen for the summer on June 5, 2023. Class schedules and sign-ups will continue to be available online after a great success last summer! Watch for more information coming next month in our publications, This Summer in Montreat and This Week in Montreat.

John Philip Newell is returning to Montreat! The NC School of Earth & Soul will return this fall for Celtic Wisdom 2: Sacred Earth. Learn more about John Philip, The School of Earth & Soul, or complete your registration by clicking here.

Make a visit to Moore Center! The Huckleberry is open Tue.–Sat. from 8:00 am-3:00 pm. View the menu here. Meanwhile, The Montreat Store is open Mon.-Sat. 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Have a question about purchasing an item? Call the store at 828.669.5298.

Women's Connection

August 11–13, 2023

We are so excited for the amazing group of leaders joining us during this year's conference! Stage leadership includes Kate Bowler, Kathryn Johnston, Margaret Aymer, Emily Floyd, and Mary Button. Don't wait to register - fewer than 100 spots remain for those wishing to register as full conference participants.

One-night-only tickets for Kate Bowler's lecture will also be available at a later date. Click here to join our email list and be notified when registration goes live.

Montreat Moment

Last week, we released a new promotional video featuring footage from our 2022 Middle School Conference. Be sure to give it a watch and look for any familiar faces!

Montreat's Fiscal Year Ends on April 30

Make a Gift to the Montreat Fund!

As the weather warms and our staff prepare for the coming summer, we hope you will consider a gift to the Montreat Fund before the end of our fiscal year on April 30. Gifts to the Montreat Fund bridge the gap between our missional programming and the cost of running a year-round conference center, accounting for 13% of the annual operating budget. A gift to the Montreat Fund supports experiences in wilderness, conferences, Clubs and Childcare, recreation, and more! Will you join with more than 1,200 people who make a commitment each year to support the Montreat experience? Become a Montreat Fund Patron for $300 or a Young Patron for just $100 if you are 35 or younger. If you have already made a gift to the Montreat Fund during this fiscal year, thank you for your generosity and for enabling Montreat experiences for all who venture here, seeking a closer relationship with their Creator.

Speaking of Patrons...

The Montreat Office of Development, in partnership with the Communications Department, is excited to reveal a new visual brand for the Montreat Fund Patrons program next week. Young Patrons, Patrons, and Gold Patrons are critically important to the work we do here at Montreat and have provided unwavering support since the program began in 1962. We hope all who love Montreat and want to support the transformative experiences that happen here would faithfully consider becoming a Patron this year.

Have you ever wondered: What is a Montreat Fund Patron? What are the benefits of being a Patron? Visit our website below to learn more about the Montreat Fund Patrons program.
