Our Featured Story

Celebrating resurrection life!

From spectacular sunrise services to flowering crosses, candlelit meals and ocean baptisms, Uniting Church communities came together in joy and hope to celebrate Holy Week and the risen Christ.

This collection of photos on our Facebook page is a testimony to the creative and deeply meaningful ways people marked our holiest of seasons. Thank you to ministry agents, worship teams and volunteers in our communities who gave their time and efforts to make these services so special.

Make sure you check out the extra photos added to the comments section and add in any photos we have missed! There's also a fantastic collection of photos of Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday worship spaces shared on the Facebook page of the Assembly's Transforming Worship Circle. Join here!

In case you missed it, the President's Easter Message can be seen here

Sign up to get their excellent resources for hosting a service, including a sermon from a canoe by Rev James Bhagwan, General Secretary of the Pacific Conference of Churches!

PODCAST

In conversation with Rev Kharis Abadani

In her 2023 Easter video message, Rev Sharon Hollis invited three Uniting Church women ministers to reflect on what it means to have new life in Christ, sharing in their own languages. As we continue the celebration of Easter, hear them reflect more deeply on new life in Christ in conversation with the President on her podcast Dwelling. In this episode, Rev Sharon Hollis speaks with Rev Kharis Abadani, minister at Mulgrave Uniting Church.

Uniting for the Voice

Submissions invited

A Joint Committee has been appointed to inquire into the Government bill that needs to pass for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice Referendum referendum to happen, and submissions are now open. The Yes23 campaign has created a helpful page for people to develop a submission to indicate their support of the Referendum amendments.
