What is a weary church leader to do? - How do church leaders meet the challenges of this moment with courage and imagination? Learn the answer at Fraught & Flummoxed, a fall conference at Montreat Conference Center. During this conference, we will engage in three days of peer learning group work, while also hearing from thought-provoking speakers, to examine the current challenges of leadership in this time and place.

Building on the content of past conferences such as CoInspire, DisGrace, and MLK’s Unfinished Agenda, our keynote speakers and conference leadership (Jessica Vasquez Torres, Shawna Bowman, and Rodney Sadler) will guide us as we critically reflect on the obstacles of church leadership. In addition, we will explore tangible and embodied practices involving creativity, movement, and contemplative exercises with the goal of building capacity and endurance for this important work. All levels of interest and experience are welcome as we will host three customized tracks of learning, nurture, and growth.
