Stony Point Center Calls for New Executive Director

Moving Forward with Purpose and Vision  Stony Point Center is poised to lead innovation in retreat and community group gatherings as we re-grow our usage. With its seventy-two-year history as a retreat center at the forefront of mission development for the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., Stony Point is uniquely positioned to come out of the pandemic on solid footing. SPC will continue its excellence in hosting retreat groups and other gatherings while expanding the onsite housing and connecting of nonprofits and an intentional move into excellence in hybrid retreat hosting. The Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) has spent the past two years developing and implementing a plan based on local and national innovation and excellence in retreat hosting. Stony Point Center is an open space that welcomes all regardless of background or categorization. Our goal is to make all gatherings more successful because they were hosted at Stony Point Center. As a component entity of the Presbyterian Mission Agency, SPC will also engage with the PMA as it evolves by committing to Inspire, Equip and Connect church leaders for innovation and experimentation, as well as continue to be an excellent host facility for a wide range of groups to hold their gatherings.   We seek an accomplished leader who displays a life guided by an abiding faith; has a heart of welcome, acceptance and understanding for all; has a successful track record of nonprofit management, has a history of creating impactful experiences, and has successfully built healthy team leadership. A leader who is unafraid to take calculated risks and learn from them. Who is able to think creatively and collaboratively while keeping Stony Point Center financially sustainable.
