UC National News 6 - 12 October - Towards Zero Episode 2, Walking on Adnyamathanha Country, New 2021-2022 Lectionary leaflet and more

Towards Zero Episode 2

Today we release Episode 2 of our Towards Zero video series exploring our Uniting Church commitment to work towards a better future for our planet.

This episode focuses on the wisdom of our First Peoples, who teach us that we live in and not above the land. It also includes examples of UCA congregations taking action now.

Assembly Theologian-in-residence Rev Dr Ji Zhang says, "Our people have a vision for the future, our communities are taking action now. Let us walk this outward journey so we may together discover an inner truth - we are inwardly connected through God in creation".

The accompanying resources include steps UCA congregations can take and tools for measuring your impact.

Walking on Adnyamathanha Country

It is the ancient wisdom of our First Peoples to care for the land. Walking on Country is one way for us to learn through the eyes of First Peoples about our connection with all creation. UAICC National Admin Assistant Ian Dempster writes about the "rare privilege" of Walking on Adnyamathanha Country with Rev Dr Aunty Denise Champion and Rhanee Lester during NAIDOC Week this year.
