An Event Honoring Dr. Patrick D. Miller, Jr.
Poems for a Dangerous Time:
A Gathering Around the Psalms
February 20-22, 2022
Inspired by the students and family of Patrick Miller, this gathering will explore the rich and varied ways biblical Psalms give voice to the cries of the believer: in lament, in anger, in praise, in rejoicing.
Call for Submissions!
Montreat Conference Center invites submissions of writings on a psalm or psalms for an event honoring Professor Patrick D. Miller, Jr. Pat Miller nurtured the Church in the Psalms during his long career of teaching first at Union Presbyterian Seminary and then at Princeton Theological Seminary.
According to his family nothing would honor him more than a gathering around the psalms exploring the way they sustain communities of faith. Submissions should have the life of faith as their primary focus and could take the form of writings for use in liturgy, hymnody, study groups, devotional practice, or pastoral care.
Submissions are due by December 15, 2021.
Visit our website to read more about the submission process and requirements.
