In the midst of an unjust and chaotic world, Christ's steadfast love is enduring, says President Dr Deidre Palmer, in her latest pastoral message. Back in Black The Uniting Church in Australia stands with our ecumenical partners and the global community in a renewed call for an end to rape and gender-based violence. A new look website The Assembly has a new website - uniting.church. The new site aims for a fresher, more engaging presentation of our ministries, as well as a more accessible explanation of our Uniting Church approach to Christian faith, belief and practice. UnitingWorld has joined a coalition of organisations calling on the government to provide support to vulnerable nations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new COVID-19 epicentre Rev Esteban Liévano of the UCA Ibero-Latino National Conference writes of the pain the pandemic is now causing across South America. Making the Australian BBQ Great Again Frontier Services' popular annual fundraiser is back for 2020. Hold an event between now and the end of the year to fund ministry to struggling farmers. Changes to President's Conference Due to the second wave of COVID-19, Dr Deidre Palmer has decided to defer her Conference until next year. Instead the President will hold a series of webinars on her Conference theme over the October long weekend.     Regulations Review Assembly General Secretary Colleen Geyer is inviting church members to take part in a brief survey on the Church Regulations as part of an overall review.  Need to talk? COVID-19 has impacted us all differently. For many it’s been a challenging time. At 6pm every Monday in August members of the Assembly Resourcing Unit will be available for a chat over Zoom, if you'd like to ask any questions or talk about how things are going for you.
