ANZAC Day 2020 - Resources and Livestreams  
Like all major events during the COVID-19 pandemic this year's ANZAC Day commemorations will be closed to the public. UCA Defence Force Chaplain Charles Vesely has recorded an online service to air at 9am on ANZAC Day.

President's Conference to go ahead

Dr Deidre Palmer has announced that her 2020 President’s Conference will go ahead in Adelaide from 2-5 October, as originally scheduled.

Bush Chaplains hit the phones

While volunteers stood down due to COVID-19 pandemic, Frontier Services' chaplains are providing a vital lifeline for people in the Australian Outback. Read about their work in the May edition of Frontier News. 
This Sunday Rev. Ellie Elia from Glenbrook Uniting Church in NSW will lead worship via the Assembly Facebook page at 10am (AEST). Ellie will be reflecting on the walk to Emmaus and explore the idea that "no-one rises alone."

Genocide commemorations 
Jewish and Armenian communities in Australia are observing solemn memorials this week.

IN PRAYER FOR:
  • Current and past members of the Australian Defence Force, who served or are serving now, at home and abroad, their families and descendants - and all who carry the scars of their service in body, mind and spirit.
  • Uniting Church Chaplains in Navy, Army and Air Force who support people of faith or no faith at all.
  • Residents of Pacific Island nations whose lives have been disrupted by Cyclone Harold. UCA President Dr Deidre Palmer has offered a Prayer for the Pacific
  • Our UCA partner churches in Asia, Africa and the Pacific who are caring for their COVID-19 affected communities.
  • Jewish and Armenian communities around the world who are this week remembering the horrors of genocide committed against them.
