“This gathering is not simply about sharing a meal, but about lifting each other up, celebrating the power of sisterhood, and ensuring that women’s voices and stories are seen, heard, and valued,” said Rev. Dr. Patricia Hernandez, Associate General Secretary for Women in Ministry and Transition Ministries. “Together, we are building a future where women in ministry are not only visible, but vital.” “We are excited to gather to share the strength in our sisterhood, the support in journeying together and the witness of God’s movement in our lives. The Power of Sisterhood Luncheon will be followed by a celebration of Women’s History Month in our March series, Joy of the Journey, a weekly webinar series occurring each Tuesday in March 2026 at 8:00 p.m., where women will share their journeys and join together in a time of discussion. ABCUSA is blessed to provide scholarships for seminary students to attend the luncheon event,” said Rev. Dr. Gina Jacobs-Strain, General Secretary of American Baptist Churches USA. “DCBC has been a pioneer in supporting women at all levels of ministry in Baptist life. We are delighted to welcome women to the Baptist Building to celebrate our sisterhood,” said Rev. Dr. Trisha Miller Manarin, Executive Director/Minister of DCBC. A sponsor for this event is the Bradeen/Narowitz Endowment, honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Cathleen Narowitz. Registration is required, with a cost of $20 per person. ABCUSA will provide scholarships for current seminary students - contact Rev. Dr. Patricia Hernandez at Patricia.Hernandez@abc-usa.org.
