This Week in Religion - Trump campaign wins with non-evangelical Christian religious voters

Lead story

Members of the Amish community wearing traditional Amish clothing cast their votes.

Editor's note:

A social media tribute to Coptic Christians. A billboard in Amish country. A visit to a revered Jewish gravesite. These are examples of the outreach President-elect Donald Trump and his allies did to reach voters who are members of smaller faith groups that fall outside the mainstream. Associated Press reporter Peter Smith took a look at these efforts to win every vote possible in what was expected to be a tight race but one that Trump won handily. Many of these Trump supporters share similar conservative values with one of his biggest voting blocs − white, evangelical Christians. They also appreciated the high-level recognition.
