Mission and Service Stories: Overcoming Obstacles
Sue, a 61-year-old woman, has faced a lifetime of challenges, including addiction, homelessness, and chronic pain. Despite these obstacles, she has found hope and support at Wesley, a Mission and Service partner. As part of a broader effort in Hamilton to address homelessness and substance use, Wesley helps people who are struggling with multiple substance use to slowly reduce their drug use with the help of prescribed medications and staff support.

These resources not only celebrate December 3rd as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, but also weave anti-ableist themes into the whole season of Advent in practical ways for all ages.
