February isn't long enough (even with a leap day!) to fully immerse ourselves in all aspects of Black history. Please keep the conversation going and continue to share these stories, and more, throughout the year. Your Mission and Service Stories: Accompanying Grandmothers

Grandmothers in Rift Valley of Kenya

In the Rift Valley of Kenya, grandmothers whose children have died of AIDS are often left alone to care for their grandchildren. Some pastors there believe and teach that the disease is a judgment from God. Through Mission and Service, these grandmothers and pastors had a chance to connect and learn from each other.

Your Mission and Service gifts gave these grandmothers the opportunity to help their pastors learn to do better by connecting their love for their grandchildren to God’s love for all.
