Your Generosity Matters: Food and Hygiene Kits for Ukraine

For January, we asked five staff members to select a Mission & Service story that is meaningful to them and tell us a bit about why:

"War continues to rage in Ukraine. Fortunately, Canada has not seen war on its shores. Others are not so lucky. I can’t imagine what these folks are living through. As Christians, we are taught the golden rule: treat others as we would wish to be treated. Believing that we had an opportunity to help those who now have next to nothing and don’t have the means to access goods, why wouldn’t we, who have so much, help those who at this time aren’t as blessed? Therefore, sponsoring hygiene and food basket packages for those less fortunate than ourselves helps my family live up to one of the tenets by which we live."

The United Church Bookstore: Inspire Growth in Your Community of Faith!

Turning Ourselves Inside Out

Inspire growth in your community of faith with Turning Ourselves Inside Out by Rob Fennell and Russell Daye, the newest arrival at the United Church Bookstore.

Emerging from the Thriving Christian Communities Project started by the authors in 2015, Turning Ourselves Inside Out seeks to answer the question: How do we learn about what is exciting and what the Holy Spirit is doing? How do we broaden the conversation beyond how sad, afraid, and grumpy we often are as church people? This book invites us to dig deep and get down to the business of dreaming God's dream and making it a reality!

Shop all of our latest titles, including our new Lenten devotional Good Courage. Don't forget to take advantage of our free shipping on orders of $100 or more with the promotion code FREESHIPPING.
