TCR Breaking News: Rev. Dr. Teresa L. Fry Brown Elected as President of the Academy of Homiletics

On Saturday, December 3, 2022,  Rev. Dr. Teresa L. Fry Brown was elected as the 2022-2023 President of the Academy of Homiletics at its annual meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded in 1965, the Academy of Homiletics is the world's foremost academic society dedicated to the study of preaching. Previously, Dr. Fry Brown was elected as the Academy's  Second Vice President (2020-2021) and its First Vice President  (2021-2022).

In addition to serving as the Executive Director of Research and Scholarship for the AME Church, Dr. Fry Brown is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and the Bandy Professor of Teaching at the Candler Theological Seminary of Emory University.
