Welcoming the 16th President of the UCA

In three days, the 16th Assembly of the Uniting Church in Australia will meet online for the first time and Rev Sharon Hollis will be installed as our 16th President.

In this feature article, we share some of Sharon's life journey and her vision for us to be courageous, creative and hope-filled, as we discern where God is calling the Uniting Church into the future.

7 ways to connect with the online Assembly

Meeting online for the 16th Assembly means there are more opportunities for the wider Uniting Church to connect into the work of the Assembly meeting in real time. We share seven ways to connect with the Assembly as it happens.

Ahead of the One Great Sunday of Sharing on Sunday 18 July, the Synod of South Australia has shared this three-minute video and other worship resources for use in worship services celebrating our vibrant multicultural Church.

    The Pacific Islands Council of South Australia (PICSA) seeks a Regional Coordinator to oversee networks of support for Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste seasonal workers in Australia, as part of a project in partnership with the UCA Synod of Victoria and Tasmania and others.

    • Rev Sharon Hollis as she is installed as the President of the UCA Assembly on Saturday. For strength and wisdom in her spiritual leadership over the next three years. 
    • Dr Deidre Palmer. We give thanks for the gift of her leadership as President over this triennium, for her faithful service, her great encouragement of the whole Church and for her constant reminder of the abundant grace and liberating hope we have in Jesus.
