President's Anniversary Message 2021

As we mark 44 years of the Uniting Church in Australia on 22 June, Dr Deidre Palmer delivers her final anniversary message as President. 

"On this anniversary of the Uniting Church, I invite us to move forward in faith, opening our hearts to the actions of the innovative, creative Holy Spirit, forming and transforming the Uniting Church into a community in Christ, embodying God’s abundant grace and liberating hope." 'For significant service': Queen's Birthday Honours 2021

A long-time aged care advocate, an ex-Moderator, an accountant volunteering 100 hours a month and a congregational pastoral worker with a 50-year legacy in the community are among those awarded in the Queens Birthday Honours List.

Christian women leaders raise their voices in Canberra

Forty women leaders from a coalition of churches and Australia’s leading development agencies joined together in Canberra today urging our political leaders to address the ‘two-track pandemic’ with poorer countries increasingly being left behind in the fight against COVID-19.

'Growing Up Uniting': National Historical Conference

The Uniting Church National History Society's Biennial Conference was held over the long weekend of 11- 13 June 2021. Participants delved into UCA history predominately through the eyes of our youth and young adults and considered what that means for the future of the UCA.

The reality of volunteering

Frontier Services asked its volunteers from corporate partner NRMA what it was like to deliver hope as part of the Outback Links Bushfire Recovery Project in May, which took them into the bushfire ravaged areas of the Snowy Monaro region for a week.
