Transformational UCC Ministries for a Just World Thursday, July 8 - 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET Did you know that the UCC has eight church designation programs that seek a just world for all? There is now an online portal that brings all of these programs together under the banner of UCC Just World Covenants. Because the multiple forms of justice covered by these programs intersect, it makes sense that they are presented together as opportunities for ministry. The UCC’s covenant programs offer multiple ways for congregations to grow in spirit and vitality in the pursuit of justice. This workshop will introduce each of the designation programs.   Manual on Church: Summer 2021 Snapshot Wednesday, July 7 - 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET Host: Rev. Dr. Chris Davies This workshop will show a window into where the work of the Manual on Church working group is during the Summer of 2021. The pandemic has absolutely shifted how we work together (from incarnate to digital) and we still carry on in the hope that this resource will be impactful for local churches, associations, conferences in best practice, covenantal relationship, and more. Come to see where we are, ask questions, or offer encouragement for the work ahead!

Valerie Russell Luncheon: Uncovering Racism/ Unleashing Repair Saturday, July 17th 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Speaker: Joy DeGruy, PhD

UCC Justice and Local Church Ministries presents speaker Joy DeGruy, PhD, a nationally and internationally renowned researcher and educator. Her research focuses on the intersection of racism, trauma, violence, and American chattel slavery. This optional event can be added on to your registration for $30. You do not want to miss this important conversation and gathering.

Youth programs are available for attendees who completed 6th grade (entering 7th in the fall of 2021) through high school graduation. Young adult programs are available for attendees who are post high school through the age of 29.

Meet.UCC is the location where you can find everything you need to participate in General Synod 2021. You will find all the links that you need to access all activities that you signed up for during your registration process. Your schedule will be built, so you can navigate each area easily It includes the most current text of the overtures and other recommendations that have been forwarded to the assembly. Track each item of business as it moves through the assembly meeting, and see whether the recommendation was amended, approved, or disapproved.

Worship will stream live on the United Church of Christ YouTube and Facebook channels and on GeneralSynod.org. Worship will occur: Sunday, July 11 Wednesday, July 14 Sunday, July 18 MORE ABOUT WORSHIP   Your registration will give you access to all workshops. Save the dates of July 7-10 for the live workshops (before General Synod). Or watch them afterwards, anytime before August 31.
