Making change happen
|
Our world, our nation, our communities, our churches, our families have witnessed massive disruption and change in the span of just a few short months. From the COVID-19 pandemic to antiracism protests all over the U.S. and around the globe, life today scarcely resembles what we all took for “normal” back in March. In the face of this paradigm shift, how are congregations serving their flock? This issue of Presbyterians Today features some important reflections for our version of a Brave New World. Here are just two:
Crisis & Creativity celebrates ingenuity. Times of crisis can be catalysts for great creativity. Read how church leaders and members are setting their imaginations free and exploring new expressions of faith.
Community organizing can make change happen. Learn why bringing about dramatic social change takes more than the efforts of a single congregation. Churches and other partners must work together to uncover and understand the issues their neighbors face — and organize together to address the injustices. |
