The assembly considered whether to try to do more on more subjects, or focus more intensely on fewer matters related to COVID-19, racism and social justice.
The assembly voted overwhelmingly to approve a resolution declaring that Black lives matter; confessing that the church has been complicit in perpetuating injustice; and pledging to “confront and dismantle systemic racism” in the church and in society.
You may – or may not – be surprised.
The assembly affirmed need to help those impacted but the coronavirus pandemic.

The assembly made a strong statement of support for Native American community, as it seeks to repent for centuries of neglect and abuse.

The virtual prayer room shares prayers of hope and lament from Presbyterians.
Vilmarie Cintrón-Olivieri and Cindy Kohlmann led a worship service of lament and hope with leaders from Baltimore Presbytery.
God of all creation, we come to you asking for your guidance and Spirit as we convene  General Assembly. We trust your ability to work through our human limitations and bring good out of our partial attempts at faithfulness.
