Needing only one ballot, the 2020 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) elected as its co-moderators an Indigenous woman and a Black man: Elona Street-Stewart and Gregory Bentley,
Why did they pick the Sankofa bird as their symbol? How can the church pray for them? Where do they hope to put their energies?
On June 20, the Office of the General Assembly invited all commissioners and Presbyterians to participate virtually in a digital rally organized by the Poor People's Campaign.
