February in Montreat

News Corner

We are currently accepting Small Group Leader applications for 2025 Montreat Youth Conference and Middle School Conferences. In exchange for all that they do, Small Group Leaders (SGLs) receive free room, board, and travel during these events. Applicants must be 21 or older. Apply by February 24 for top consideration!

Speaking of youth conferences, registration is currently open for both Montreat Youth Conference and Middle School Conference. We are very grateful to report that Hurricane Helene should have little to no effect on either of these events. Find out more about what you can expect or register a group here.

New track options have recently been added to our upcoming Discovering Renewal retreat. Participants can now explore baking and mixed track options in addition to the hiking, board game, contemplation, yoga, art, and fly fishing tracks already offered. See how you can sign up on our website.

Looking to integrate creative worship experiences into your ministry? Arts, Recreation, and Worship Conference can help! Hosted in partnership with re:create, this conference features workshops aimed at equipping church professionals for a variety of leadership roles. Find out more.

John Philip Newell will return to Montreat this fall for our Earth & Soul Retreat. Originally scheduled for October 2024, this event will cover the third of a three-part series on Celtic Wisdom led by John Philip and his colleague Cami Twilling. Montreat Moment

Last month we welcomed over 80 young adults to Montreat for our third installment of The Manna Retreat, a gathering for 22-32-year-olds. Over the course of three days, participants engaged in worship, small groups, and community building activities. In one such activity, participants wrote worries on pieces of ceramic which were then smashed and turned into works of art (pictured above).

What Does the Montreat Fund Do?

Your gift to the Montreat Fund supports Montreat Conference Center’s recovery post Hurricane Helene. Since Hurricane Helene, we’ve hosted our College Conference @ Montreat as well as The Manna Retreat for young adults. Your continued support allows Montreat to not only continue normal programming as we move through the new year, but also to repair damage to our campus.

Montreat’s fiscal year ends on April 30. Make your Montreat Fund gift today!
