March in Montreat

News Corner

While Thanksgiving may seem a long way off, we are already making plans to celebrate the holiday in Assembly Inn. If you would like to stay with us between November 26-30, 2024, or would simply like to join us for our Thanksgiving buffet, reservations can now be made on our website. Learn more.

The Art of Transitional Ministry is an educational opportunity for those leading congregations and faith communities through periods of transition. Virtual and in-person options are both available. Registration opens on March 11th. Sign up online.

Our Spring Sabbath Getaways start this month! If you are looking for some quiet time to simply enjoy God's beautiful creation, we can provide space for you to study, pray, or reconnect with friends. Reservations in Assembly Inn require a two-night minimum stay and can be made for any time between March 15th and April 28th. Learn more.

It's time to start thinking about Wee Kirk Conference! This year's theme is "Emmanuel Living!" When you imagine the future of your church, do you picture it being deeply involved in your neighborhood, welcoming all with open arms? During this year's conference, we plan to explore hospitality in all of its forms. Registration opens on March 18th!

We are still hiring for just a few positions on our Summer Staff. If you or someone you know is looking for a job or internship this summer, please visit our website to explore available jobs and submit an application! In particular, we are looking for lifeguards, facilities crew members, and childcare counselors.

Planning to bring a group to Montreat Middle School Conference? Be sure to register before rates increase on April 1st to get the best deal! Learn more about this year's conference here.

It won't be long before church leaders from across the country gather for the Arts, Recreation, and Worship Conference, hosted in partnership with Re:Create. During this conference, participants sing, play, create, and dance as they learn how to implement elements of creative worship in their own congregations. There is still time to register on Re:Create's website!

Make a visit to Moore Center! The Huckleberry is open Tues.-Thur. 8:00 am-3:00 pm, Fri.-Sat. 8:00 am-6:00 pm, and is closed Sun.-Mon. Please note that The Huck's hours will be adjusted around the Easter holiday. Montreat Moment

We are starting to see the first signs of spring in Montreat! What a wonderful time to be surrounded by the beauty of God's creation.

Is Your Church a Montreat Fund Patron?

Last year, 117 churches were partners in the mission of Montreat by donating $300 or more to the Montreat Fund. The list has been growing, and we hope to see your church when we release the next list this spring. The Church Patron list is posted online and on campus all year to show appreciation for our ministry partnership. To see if your church made a gift last year, check the 2022-2023 Church Patron list using the link below.

Our fiscal year ends on April 30, so now is the time to check with your pastor or mission committee about including Montreat in your church budget or making a gift now. With questions about participation this year, or to donate, call Julie Lehman, Director of the Montreat Fund and Major Gifts at 828.713.5767 or juliel@montreat.org.
