The Christian Recorder - Letter of Appreciation from Dr. Richard Allen Lewis, Sr.

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Honored Guests,

As I reflect on the recent Testimonial Dinner and Retirement Celebration in my honor, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and awe. Your support, friendship, and generosity have deeply touched my heart and soul, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to each and every one of you who made the event so memorable.

Firstly, to the Sponsors who generously contributed to the success of this event, your support is not just financial but emotional as well. You've validated the years of hard work and commitment that have gone into serving the African Methodist Episcopal Church and the broader community. Your backing allows us to continue doing significant work and leaves an enduring legacy for future generations. Thank you for your incredible support.

To the Organizing Committee, who worked tirelessly to coordinate the various aspects of this grand celebration, your dedication and attention to detail were evident in every moment. From the initial planning stages to the final applause, your hard work did not go unnoticed. I am eternally grateful for your time and energy.

To those who generously contributed financially, know that your contributions do more than just cover the costs of an event. They symbolize your trust and belief in the mission we all serve, and they provide resources that will continue to benefit our community.

To everyone who took the time to send letters and greetings, your kind words were more than just notes on a page; they were validations, encouragements, and priceless memories that I will treasure forever. The Commemorative Book of Letters will occupy a special place in my heart and home.

And lastly, to all those who attended, your presence filled the room with love, respect, and communal aspiration. Seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones added a layer of happiness to an already joyous occasion. Your presence was the greatest gift of all.

It has been an honor and privilege to serve for 25 years as the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The journey we've walked together has been one of mutual growth, love, and continual learning. Your friendship and support have been my guiding stars, and I look forward to maintaining these treasured relationships as we move forward.

With deepest gratitude,

Dr. Richard Allen Lewis, Sr.
Treasurer/CFO (Ret.)
