March in Montreat

News Corner

Have you applied to be a Small Group Leader yet? If not, there is still time! We are seeking anyone over the age of 21 to participate in this volunteer opportunity. You don't have to be young, cool, or steeped in biblical knowledge to make a difference! Priority deadline for applications is March 10th. Learn more.

Our Spring Sabbath rates begin soon! Book a stay in Assembly Inn between March 17 and April 30 and find time for independent prayer, study, reflection, and rest. Make a reservation by clicking here.

This month we will welcome two different cohorts from our Thriving Congregations program as they continue to discover what allows a congregation to be a thriving part of its community. Want to learn more about this program or apply for your congregation? Learn more here!

Scheduled conveniently after Easter, Discovering Renewal offers both pastors and laypeople an opportunity to become rejuvenated after a busy season in the church! Participate in an activity track such as hiking, fly fishing, yoga, or art and be reminded that renewal can happen even in the most common of places. Register today!

Embrace your creative side during Arts, Recreation, and Worship! During this conference, which takes place May 8–13, 2023, participants are exposed to a variety of new ways to engage their congregations using worship arts. Learn more about what you can expect on our website.

Classes are quickly filling up for Fall Craft Week! Remaining workshop options include: drawing with colored pencils, basket weaving, creative writing, photography, stained glass, wood working, and there is one spot remaining for jewelry metalsmithing! Sign up today to reserve your spot!

We are still accepting applications for limited Summer Staff positions, specifically production crew, facilities crew, and childcare. If you know a college student or young adult looking for a summer job, please encourage them to apply here.

Make a visit to Moore Center! The Huckleberry is open Tue.–Sat. from 8:00 am-3:00 pm. View the menu here. Meanwhile, The Montreat Store is open Mon.-Sat. 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Have a question about purchasing an item? Call the store at 828.669.5298.

Montreat Moment

We recently unveiled seven new pieces of artwork in The Huckleberry! Designed by Joseph Matthews, each illustration features a prominent location in the Montreat valley. Be sure to check them out for yourself the next time you visit!

Want to See Your Church's Name in Anderson Auditorium this Summer?

Become a Montreat Fund Church Patron!

Encourage your church's mission committee to become a Church Patron today. Gifts of $300 or more to Montreat before the end of our fiscal year on April 30, qualify your church as a Church Patron. We are so grateful to the 112 churches that partnered with us last year and their gifts that shaped our transformational programming!

We thank our Church Patrons by distributing hundreds of Church Patron brochures every year throughout Montreat. Additionally, large signs in Assembly Inn and Anderson Auditorium lobbies recognize our many Church Patrons. To view our 2021-2022 Church Patron list, click on the button below. To check and see if your church has already made a gift this fiscal year, reach out to Emma Goldrick, Director of Development Operations at emmag@montreat.org.
