Your memories, love, and stories are the heart and soul of all we do at the ranch. The following is a touching story about our 275-year-old cottonwood tree at Ghost Ranch which collapsed in late September of 2022.

Embracing the Gift of New Life The cottonwood love story by Diane Arenberg, co- founder of the Artist Residency Program, Estudio de Corazón, is one example of the many ways that Ghost Ranch is strengthened and profoundly uplifted with you by our side. Like everyone at Ghost Ranch, Diane was devastated by the sudden loss of our beloved tree. She took some branches, made some cuttings and, “Lo and behold, they took root—some even have green shoots coming up!” We’ll be sure to keep you updated with the cottonwood twig’s progress as we steward its safekeeping and planting. Now—together—we continue to care for this precious haven of nature at Ghost Ranch, where unique stories, transformative experiences, and cherished communities are created every year.
