Save the Date! The Church in Mission Unit invites you to celebrate and learn with us about the many love and justice ministries of our church. November 3—7, the unit is hosting ENGAGE! a love and justice gathering on Whova. Whova is an online event platform that can be used on your desktop, laptop, or mobile device. Once you register for the event, you’ll receive information about how to easily access our gathering.

We will gather to worship, learn, build community, and recognize who and whose we are. Join us to worship, build community, and learn together with global partners, communities of faith, networks, Canadian partners, and more! Throughout this five-day online event we will:
  • Engage deep spirituality
  • Engage daring justice
  • Engage courageous community
  • Engage bold discipleship
  • Engage hope
If you would like to share with others what you are doing through a workshop or online booth, please send an email to edge@united-church.ca.

Blog Post: Seeking Grace and an End to Occupation

Palestinian crowds surge at the gate of the caged Qalandiya check point, Jerusalem.

In this blog post, a former Ecumenical Accompanier laments the brutality witnessed in Palestine and Israel, while celebrating brief moments of compassion.

The World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel is September 19—26, 2021. Church organizations, congregations, and people of faith are encouraged to bear a common witness by participating in worship services, educational events, and acts of support in favour of peace and justice for Israelis and Palestinians.
