Webinar: The Church Has Left the Building

Blue graphic with white writing that reads "the church has left the building!"

Starting today, May 25, United in Learning (in partnership with Toronto United Church Council) is offering a three-part series on online church when we are back in the church building. Since the onset of the pandemic, communities of faith have pivoted most of their activities into some version of online-based communication. When you have access to the church building again, what will this mean for the online community you have created? How will you continue to be in relationship with those who have joined online? Find out more and register

When: May 25, June 1, June 8, 2021. 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT

Save the date! On June 10, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. ET, join Moderator Richard Bott and others for a special online worship service to celebrate the 96th anniversary of The United Church of Canada. This service will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel. Please bring water with you to participate in the service.

Congregational Finances Webinar This Week

In this week's webinar (the last of the series, for now), Erik and Clyde will focus on what every treasurer should have learned from COVID-19 and should now have in place. There have been major upgrades and changes impacting treasurers; they will re-cap each key element, from payroll to CRA to online portals, to online stewardship. Find out more and register.

Stories of Our Mission: Outdoor Ministry Supports Well-Being of Children

Photo of a smiling mother and child climbing a tree.

In the 17 years that statistics have been gathered, no children have died falling out of trees. Yet increasing fears about playground injuries and stranger danger, along with more screen time, mean that only a third of Canadian school-aged children meet physical activity guidelines. Getting outside is good for children. Enter United Church camps. The perfect story for Environment Sunday.
