The Revival Is Not Coming “I think this is another piece of evidence about how there is no religious revival happening in America.” The gist of Gallup’s findings: less than half of Americans say religion is very important in their lives (47%), while more than half no longer attend religious services regularly (57%). One of the most dramatic drops — a whopping 22 percentage point decline in two decades — happened among Black Americans, long one of the most religious groups in the country.
