Cuban partners of the United Church are facing the worst crisis in their history.

Electricity generation, hospitals, health services, sanitation, public transport, food distribution, and clean water access are paralyzed, with island-wide power outages reported.

A recent Toronto Star article features an interview with Christie Neufeldt, the United Church’s Global Partnerships Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighting the urgent need for Canada’s humanitarian assistance. Local partners continue to provide vital support, but more is needed. The United Church is calling on Canada to increase assistance and uphold Cuba’s right to self-determination. Learn how communities are responding and how you can take action.
