WCC NEWS: Memorial International Conference offered as tribute to Anastasios, the late archbishop of Albania

A Memorial International Conference in Albania organized by the Department of Theology and Culture of ″LOGOS‶ University College will be offered as a tribute to Anastasios, the late archbishop of Albania, on the first anniversary of his passing.

Under the theme “Greatness in Doing and Preaching,” religious leaders from across the world will gather from 22-26 January, to commemorate his life. 

Official addresses will cover many facets of his legacy, and, as the conference opens, topics will include “Reigniting Missions in the 20th Century: Lessons Learned and Guiding Principles for Today and Tomorrow,” “Evangelization-theological development and practice,” “Life of grace and purpose: The extraordinary leadership of Anastasios,” and many others. 

Also on the agenda is discussion on “The example of Albania,” and the scientific research in the years 1993 until today.

The international conference is organized under the auspices of His Beatitude Ioan, Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania.
