One Week Makes a Big Difference! See how your youth can experience transformation at Montreat Youth Conference. - Are you looking for a summer experience that will challenge, inspire, and energize your youth group? Each year, thousands of youth and adult leaders venture to Montreat to participate in one of our week-long conferences filled with opportunities for worship, conversation, recreation, and rest. But the experience that your youth have here doesn’t just last for one week. Montreat Youth Conference allows young people to grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and become aspiring leaders - all experiences that will continue to shape their lives once they return home. A Deeper Faith - During Montreat Youth Conference, you’ll see youth deepening their faith at every turn. Dynamic speakers and musicians lead daily worship services where they introduce new ideas rooted in scripture. Meanwhile, small group sessions give youth a safe space to ask questions and wrestle with real-life issues, guided in conversation by specially trained adults. Together, these elements of the conference encourage youth to remain curious and draw on their faith when facing life’s challenges.
Leadership Opportunities - If you have rising Juniors or Seniors in your group who are interested in taking on a leadership role, there’s no better place to explore that interest than youth conference! Our special program for young leaders, Jeremiah Project, invites youth to assist with reading liturgy and leading other aspects of worship throughout the week. Plus, they’ll learn about vocational options within the church or just see how they can continue to serve back home. No application is necessary to participate!
New Friends and Group Building - Montreat Youth Conference is also a place where relationships are formed. In this special setting, youth are able to connect with their peers and make new friends based on shared interests. Whether it’s hiking up Lookout, laughing over a late-night snack, or cheering each other on during a rec event, shared experiences create lasting memories and, ultimately, stronger bonds. Youth often leave the conference feeling more connected, not only to their faith, but also to their church family and newfound friends.
