Call to Act: Love, Faith, and Bold Action during Pride 2025

This Pride 2025, we urge you to take action by joining our Love, Faith and Bold Action letter-writing campaign and ensure your Member of Parliament makes sure that the Government of Canada upholds and advances the rights of gender-diverse, Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people at home and globally.

Stand in solidarity with The United Church of Canada, Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ communities in Canada and around the world, and global movements for human rights as we gather with courage and clarity to affirm human dignity for all. We proclaim the non-negotiable truth of every person’s sacred worth, and welcome people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. Learn more, and read the full news story.

Join Us for the Final Mod's Book Squad on CHURCHx!

You're invited to the final session of The Mod's Book Squad with The Right Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, Moderator of The United Church of Canada, in conversation with special guestJanet Gear. Together, they’ll reflect on Undivided Love, Janet’s powerful exploration of faith and vocation.

Join us on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. ET, as we conclude this inspiring series that has run since September 2024.

Janet Gear offers readers a sympathetic way to interpret the belief-inspired actions of those around them without assuming homogeneous understandings of God, the church, and our place in the world. Recognizing the pastoral and strategic challenges provoked by conflicting understandings of what the church is for, Gear guides leaders in the artistry of handling shadows and strengths coexisting across five streams of lived faith: evangelical, ecclesial, missional, ecumenical, and spiritual.

Register now on CHURCHx.

Structural Change Evaluation Survey

The United Church is currently evaluating the impact of its 2019 restructuring, which moved from four courts to three councils. A survey, managed by the independent firm Credence and Co., has been distributed to pastoral charge boards/councils, ministry personnel, and impacted regional and General Council staff. Please note that the survey does not include a comment section due to the cost associated with analyzing a large volume of responses. If you haven't received the survey, please check your junk email and ensure your ChurchHub email is up-to-date. The survey closes on June 15, 2025. Please prioritize responding, as your input is vital to this important evaluation.
