WE ARE OPEN! Celebrate the first half of 2022 & highlights from 2021 with Stony Point Center

Replacing a greenhouse roof for 2022 growing season.
LOOKING BACK, LOOKING FORWARD!
2022 So Far + 2021 Highlights

  • Stony Point Center has hosted a wide range of guest groups so far in 2022, including a migrant worker's association, a ministry of dance and healing, and an alliance dedicated to positive economic and social change. We're looking forward to hosting many more groups through the rest of the year! And good news: There's still room to book your group's stay. We hope to see you soon. Click here to get started.

  • In 2021, as we quietly re-opened part of the campus in July, with a small but mighty staff, we were able to happily welcome 34 guest groups! For many, this was the first time they'd seen each other in person since the pandemic began. Neighboring retreat centers remained closed so we were all the more grateful to be able to provide much-needed reconnecting space.
  • We've been busy making our spaces even more welcoming and adapting to our "new normal" by prepping the campus for hybrid retreats (upgraded internet bandwidth and new recording/broadcasting equipment), adding air purifiers and ionizing practices to keep our indoor air pure, creating new gathering spots for chance encounters and visits, improving our landscaping, replacing linens and mattresses, and taking care of all of the many buildings that you have come to know and love over the years.
  • Because justice work is good for all regardless of race, religion, gender orientation or any other expression of humanity, AND desperately needed, we are excited to continue supporting the PC(USA)'s work on dismantling systemic racism, addressing the root causes of poverty and oppression, as well as revitalizing congregations. Through the Presbyterian Mission Agency, Stony Point Center is also working to develop:

  1. innovative, immersive training for the Presbyterian Church (USA)'s Matthew 25 work
  2. renewing, inspiring retreats for spiritual workers and healers
  3. invigorating, challenging, cross-disciplinary subject-based think-tanks that will broadcast out their content
  • Brian Frick continues to serve as our interim executive director. Once the the retreat season is humming along, we will be seeking a new executive director!
We appreciate you so much and hope to see you on campus again later this year! Here's a link to help you start planning your next retreat. :)
