Embracing the Spirit: Community Innovation Challenge Website is LIVE!⚡

Community Innovation Challenge Website is Live Today!

Exciting news! More than 10 Community Innovation Challenges are set to happen across Canada in the remainder of 2021!

During a Community Innovation Challenge, a community of faith joins community organizations to develop and implement innovative ways to solve a social issue together. The power of partnership strengthens communities, making them better places for everyone to live!

EDGE: Network for Ministry Development thanks the partners that are making this exciting journey possible: Centennial College, the Community Innovation Hub, the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO), the Rural Ontario Institute, the Tamarack Institute and The United Church of Canada.

The Green Exodus: Earth Jam

Congratulations to The Green Exodus team!

The Green Exodus gathered online during the winter and spring of 2021 to realign their relationship with the earth using practices of Indigenous, Christian, and Buddhist wisdom traditions and of conservationists and earth keepers. These practices included meditation, poetry, land acknowledgment, land embodiment, contemplative photography, deep time walk, community conversations, and hospitality.

Over the next three months they will create ways to participate in the Season of Creation (September 1 – October 11), including Earth Jam 2021 (September 8 – October 8.) Earth Jam is an opportunity to join with others, online and in place, to engage about the climate crisis and talk about how to stop it together. We need your voice and your willingness to act, so please join us!

Visit The Green Exodus to get more information and to register.
