The Leadership Commission met this afternoon, Thursday, March 12th at 5:30 for its stated meeting. There was much careful deliberation on whether to cancel Saturday’s Presbytery meeting at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville, OH at 1:00 p.m., especially in light of the Ohio Governor Dewitt’s declaration prohibiting mass gatherings of 250 people or more.
Since Presbytery meetings of the Upper Ohio Valley Presbytery are not considered mass gatherings by these standards, the Leadership Commission has decided to HAVE the scheduled meeting this Saturday as planned.
HOWEVER, we urge anyone feeling ill and/or running a fever, or who have been out of the country recently, to stay home. Those that attend are asked to observe “social distancing”, to practice proper hand washing, avoid shaking hands, hugging, or other close social, physical contact. We have asked the host church to make hand sanitizer available.
Before you leave on Saturday, please watch for any government announcements, updates, or mandates that may affect your decision to attend. Please continue to make petition to God in prayer regarding this.
