Are you serving a small membership church?

"I will put my spirit in you and you will live!" - Ezekiel 37:10 -- We know that pastors serving small-congregation churches encounter many challenges in their ministry. Between congregational care, teaching bible studies, building maintenance, and writing a sermon each week, it can be hard to find time to focus on the bigger calling that God might have for your congregation, which is why the Christ-centered opportunities for inspiration and encouragement at the Wee Kirk Conference are so important! During this conference, leaders from small membership churches will not only find community among those serving the church in similar capacities, but receive vital guidance on how they can focus their ministry through engaging track sessions. Keep reading to see how this conference can impact your ministry, or visit our website to register today.

Track Options - One of the key components to Wee Kirk’s programming is its track system. Conferees each choose a single track that they will participate in for the duration of the conference. These tracks are based on specific scenarios that leaders of small churches frequently encounter. Read the summaries of each track below to find one that interests you! Barnabas Track The stress that pastors are put under in an attempt to always be “on” and ready to serve is not only enormous, but can also quickly lead to burn out. During this track, we will lean on scripture to discover specific ways you can find refreshment in your calling to minister God's love to others. Note: this track option begins on Sunday afternoon. Creative Worship Track Learn how to breathe new life into your traditional liturgies and engage your congregation in creative ideas for crafting a worship experience. In particular, this track will focus on the use of stories and music.
Mission Track Renew your congregation by stepping out of your comfort zone and into your neighborhood. Churches often fail to realize that a thriving congregation is one that is engaged with its community. Discover ways that you can begin to build effective church and community partnerships through outward-focused hospitality. Leadership Track When was the last time you asked what God’s dream for your congregation might be? As the leader of a small congregation, sometimes these big questions can feel overwhelming. However, when you recenter and refocus on God’s calling, even a small congregation can begin to thrive. This interactive track will help you engage those “big questions” on the way to renewal.
Spiritual Formation Track Learn how to deepen your connection to God through new spiritual practices. This track will walk you through new ways to engage Biblical texts and enter into a deeper life of prayer, equipping you with new tools to bring back to your congregation. Retreat Track Many people come to Montreat’s Wee Kirk Conference simply to enjoy the fellowship of other believers in the beauty of Montreat. To encourage this, we have created a special “retreat track” that includes all the worship and plenary presentations, but does not include participation in a structured track. Instead, use this time for personal prayer, recreation, and spiritual renewal.
Registration is open! - Read more about track options, leadership or explore housing and rate options by visiting our website.
