"For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven..." This year has been a season of planting and building up and seeking for More Light Presbyterians. We built up our team, hiring Rev. Claudia Aguilar Rubalcava as Director of Engagement and welcoming four new board members. We are also in the final stages of hiring a Director of Operations. And there has been much seeking of new dreams and directions to deepen our work as an organization! In 2023, MLP staff and board members: • Welcomed 22 new MLP congregations and ministries into partnership toward the bold work of creating a church and world where all can thrive. • Reached 250 people with liturgical resources, prayers, and worship during Pride Month • Provided leadership at more than two dozen churches and events throughout the year 2024 will bring a new season to More Light Presbyterians: we will have reasons to dance and laugh, to raise our voices and let go. We cannot do it alone. We need your voice, your gifts, your commitment, and your financial support to continue to reflect God’s light into the world. As we journey through Advent and prepare for a new year, we hope you will consider making a yearend gift to More Light Presbyterians. Your gift will provide pastoral care, educational programming, worship resources, and more to individuals and congregations seeking to follow God’s call to embrace and uplift the gifts, presence, and leadership of LGBTQIA+ people.
